19– 20 June the University of Oslo (UiO) will host 29 Knight-Hennessy Scholars from Stanford University. An important part of their visit is to connect with students from UiO. Therefore, we are hosting a get-together event in the evening Sunday 19 June and a 3 hour intensive hackathon Monday 20 June.
The students from Stanford come from a multitude of disciplines, including literature, medicine, computer science, business, art, engineering, sociology and more. Many of the students come from countries outside the USA.
30 students from UiO can participate in this event. If you are interested, you can register using the form below by 3 June. Students are admitted following the “first come, first served” principle. However, to ensure that UiO students from a variety of disciplines are represented, adjustments will be made. All who register will get an answer by 8 June.
What will you gain from participating?

- You will experience the various ways people of different backgrounds, nationalities and life experiences have different approaches to collaborating and thinking about carbon emissions/green energy
- You will generate innovative ideas to curb carbon emissions that might be implementable

Tina Seelig from Stanford University will lead the hackathon, which is an exercise about challenging assumptions.
