New name: UiO Growth House
In 2022 the Life Science Growth House was established as UiO’s innovation unit for life sciences, health and technology. In 2023 we have changed our name to UiO Growth House to show that we cover all departments and centres at the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
In Norwegian we have changed our name from Veksthuset for livsvitenskap to Veksthuset for verdiskaping.
We have co-located in Oslo Science Park with other strategic spearheads at UiO
The UiO Growth House, dScience – Centre for Computational and Data Science, UiO:Life Science and UiO:Energy and Environment are now co-located in Oslo Science Park. ‘Now the units can work more closely together and draw on each other's expertise as well as extract synergies from each other. This gives UiO the opportunity to develop its strategic initiatives and strengthen the innovation thinking’, says UiO's vice-rector for research and innovation Per Morten Sandset.

They all believe that the co-location will give UiO's researchers and students better innovation services, strengthen interdisciplinary research and education at UiO and make it easier for external actors to collaborate with the university.
Reminder School of Health Innovation: Apply for admission course 1
Learn how to commercialise research or ideas into business ventures and how to innovate services in a clinical setting. Course spring 2023 in health innovation and entrepreneurship for PhD students and post-docs as well as young assistant professors, clinicians and researchers. The School of Health innovation covers all costs. Modules in Trondheim, Copenhagen and Stockholm.
Reminder internship for students: Registration open for companies
Companies that want to offer summer jobs through the internship programme supported by the UiO Growth House, can sign up. Companies are welcome to fund an unlimited number of summer jobs. The UiO Growth House covers 50 per cent of the salary of 20 positions in small and medium-sized companies. You apply for support when you register your company – first come, first served! Matchmaking event 8 February 5–8 PM.
