Clinical trials are essential to develop new treatments. What are the fundamental issues that must be considered when designing clinical trials? What are the pitfalls? What are the dos and don’ts?

The meeting is part of the SPARK Norway Educational Forum Series 3: Therapeutics and diagnostics – monthly open meetings organized by UiO:Life Science and SPARK Norway partners.

Introduction by Anna T?rner
Managing Director, Scandinavian Development Services

  • Anna T?rner holds MScs in Pharmacy and a MSc in Mathematical Statistics, and also a PhD in Medical Science from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm.
  • Anna has experience in regulatory affairs and biostatistics from the Norwegian Medicines Agency, the pharmaceutical industry and from research in academia.
  • Anna' main expertise lies within clinical development and the design of clinical trials. Her responsibility within Scandinavian Development Services is as managing director, but she is also involved as the regulatory and clinical development expert in a few drug projects.
  • One of Anna's most important role models and mentors in her professional life is statistician Eva Skovlund, now professor at NTNU Trondheim.
