Apply for summer research project in life science 2018

UiO:Life Science will fund up to 20 summer research projects for students between April and October 2018. All students currently enrolled in a bachelor, master or relevant professional degree program at University of Oslo are eligible to apply. The application deadline was 15 February 2018.

Students will perform research addressing health and disease, environmental issues or other topics related to life science.

Research will be under supervision integrated in a research group within life science at the University of Oslo, Oslo University Hospital or Akershus University Hospital for 6 weeks full-time equivalent. Reduced time per week down to 50% for 12 weeks can be accepted.

A stipend of NOK 40 000 will be provided.

Timeline

  • Apply to the summer research program by 15 February 2018. Fill in the short web-form and indicate your interests.
  • Attend the opening event 5 March 2018 04:00 PM – 08:00 PM where projects are presented and sign up for your preferred projects in ranked order.
  • Perform your research in the time-period between April and October. The amount of time for the research project should be equivalent to 6 weeks full-time work, but could be extended for a longer time-period.
  • Make a poster or prepare an oral presentation of your findings for a student event late October/early November.
