The Carlson group published a study on stability of a membrane tube covered with proteins.

The article appeared in Physical Review E in April 2024. Sami Al-Izzi and Andreas Carlson from AUTORHYTHM are two of the four authors. The work describes how membrane tubes can become unstable and how this segregates membrane bound proteins into patterns on the membrane. The AUTORHYTHM environment will continue to work on mathematical modeling of membrane dynamics in relation to key steps in autophagy.
