Study options for refugees

The University of Oslo will help newly arrived refugees in Norway to continue their studies. You can find information about the study options here. 

Short study programmes

We offer short study programmes taught in English, where Norwegian language courses can be included. 

Admission is now closed for courses starting in August 2024, the application deadline was 15 April. Find information about admission on the programme page:

Master's degree programmes

We offer a special admission for many master's degree programmes taught in English.

Intensive Norwegian language course in the summer semester

Admission is now closed for tje 6 weeks intensive level 2 (B1) or level 3 (B2) course in the summer semester for refugees in Norway. The application deadline was 15. April. 

 

Short Norwegian language courses

We are also offering short, informal, digital Norwegian course on beginner's level. The course is not credit-bearing.

 

Other programmes

Our one-year programmes, bachelor's degree programmes, five-year master's degree programmes and professional programmes are taught in Norwegian. Applicants must meet the Norwegian and English language requirements.
