MultiLing Colloquia A & B 2023
You are cordially welcome to participate in this three-day workshop on energy, climate, and ESG. As last year, the workshop will gather academics and practitioners from the industry, discussing the latest advances on the stochastics of risk measuring, modelling and managing, with a focus on energy systems, climate, and finance (ESG).
Key topics involve modelling uncertainty in weather and climate, optimisation problems related to energy systems to control emissions, as well as measuring risk factors related to climate change.
There will be several invited talks by leading researchers as well as selected contributed talks by participants.
The workshop is part of the project ¡°Rethinking the Soviet experiment: Ukrainian and Russian perspectives¡± (RSE) which brings together scholars of 20th c. Soviet culture and society who had to flee the ongoing war in Ukraine and its catastrophic aftermath. RSE is being organized as a cooperation between the University of Oslo, the Humboldt University in Berlin, and the University of Belgrade and aims to provide opportunities of networking and intellectual exchange for Ukrainian, Russian, and Ukrainian-Russian scholars who are currently based in Europe.

We warmly invite you to a FRONT conference on gender equality in academia to be held at the Climate House at the Natural History Museum University of Oslo on May 12th 2022. This event will summarize the main results of the FRONT project, with an emphasis on those results that may be especially important for non-permanent or freshly established researchers and those that come from outside Norway. We are grateful to have renowned researchers in the field as speakers, and the book "Gender equality in academia - from knowledge to change" by ?ystein Gullv?g Holter and Lotta Karin Snickare (editors) will be discussed.

Svein Olav Kolset was educated as a Nutritionist at the School of Nutrition, the University of Oslo. He has since then been a staff scientist and later Professor at the Department of Nutrition. A network performance between Oslo, Stockholm, and Berlin during RPPW 2021. Three musicians explore a shared physical-virtual stage using motion capture and spatial audio.
Fibres Out of Line is an interactive art installation and performance. The installation consists of 10 autonomous musical robots. Jennifer Gerry will improvise a ?10 minute dance performance with the robots during the performance. Jennifer is in California, while the robots are in Oslo. Both Jen and the Robots will join a Zoom session to see, hear, and respond to one another.
