The course material is primarily defined by the lectures and problems. It is fairly well covered by the following chapters in the book:

* Complex analysis --  Ch.2, 2.6-2.16, Ch.14, 14.1-14.7 (except examples 5 and 6 in 14.7).

* Tensors: Ch.10, 10.1-10.7

* Partial differential eqs: All of chapter 13

* Ordinary differential eqs: Lecture note (See also Ch.8, 8.1-8.7, 8.12, Ch.12, 12.1-12.2, 12.11-12.12, 12.21.)

* Fourier series: Ch.7, 7.1-7.11

* Integral transformations: Ch.7, 7.12, Ch.8, 8.8-8.11.

* Variational calculus: Ch. 9, 9.1-9.5

* Orthogonal functions: Lecture note

* Several additional lecture notes will be made available during the course
