Tomorrow, 18th Oct, we will have the lecture and exercises related to diffraction in FP.

Next week (Tue 20th of Sep) the plan is to be in FP from 9.15 - 15. We will consentrate on sample preparation and get experience with starting up the TEM and alignment. Next Tuesday 13. Sep. we will start with practical work on the TEM in Å·ÖÞ±­ÔÚÏßÂòÇò_Å·ÖÞ±­Í¶×¢ÍøÕ¾ÍƼö@sparken. We will also go through local HMS information. Time: 9.15-11 Place: FERMiO, FP.

Some practical information:

?The lectures are based on the books ¡°The Theory and Practice of Analytical Electron Microscopy in Materials Science¡± by Arne Olsen. These books can not be bought in the book store, but will be given to you during the course. However, the "Transmission Electron Microscopy" 2nd edition, by D.B. Williams and C.B. Carter is also recommended. The website linked to under "Matter-TEM" gives you access to some of the material included in the books by Williams and Carter.

?On Tuesday 30th of August we will again meet in room ?262 in the Physics building unless you get a mail from me stating othervise.
