Starting Monday May 6, the ordinary exercise groups and plenary exercises are cancelled. If you want help with exercises, please attend the exercise gatherings on Wednesdays and Thursdays, or alternatively contact me to arrange a discussion in my office.

The last day of ordinary lectures will be on Wednesday, April 24.
After that we will work by repeating the topics we have covered during the course. Every week, I will make a problem set with problems I consider particularly relevant, and we will meet during our regular hours on Wednesdays and Thursdays, so that you can work on those problems individually or in groups, and I (and possibly some others) will be there to help you.
I strongly encourage all of you to participate and work hard during these last weeks; it is guaranteed to pay off.

The second mandatory assignment is now graded. Suggested solutions will be published as soon as the last student has met his/her final deadline.
Please note: all of you will benefit greatly from working through the suggested solutions (when they appear), and comparing carefully with your own answers - even if your assignment was approved.

Hi all,
There has been an update in the text for the second mandatory assignment: in Problem 3 it has been added that Y is complete.

Instead of using the first plenary exercises session on Monday, Jan. 21, solving exercises from Chapter 1 for you, we will let you have the opportunity to come to work on problems from Chapter 2 (which will not be lectured on) in the presence of assistants. You will find the problems on the course web page towards the end of this week.
