Here is some information for the oral exam on Friday: 

- Please come at the assigned time. 

- You will be getting some questions related to the three projects, which you will have 15 min to prepare. For this preparation you are free to use your notes, project notes and book. 

- This part will be presented for us in the oral exam.

- After this first part, you will get questions (cold-calls) about the other parts of the curriculum. 

 

Best of luck in the final preparations and see you all on Friday.

This is from the book ''Boundary integral and singularity methods for linearized viscous flow '' by C. Pozrikidis. This section gives an introduction of the boundary integral equations and the properties of Green's functions of Stokes flow. In section 2.3, all the steps we derived in the lecture for the integral equation (eq. 2.3.13) are there, have a look!! In the Leal's book, you can also find some information about the boundary integral equation on p.545-550.

Here are some papers on the dynamical wetting transitions and contact line dynamics. This  recent nice review paper gives an introduction on the features of moving contact line problems and dynamical wetting transitions that we have discussed in the lecture. These two papers (a and b) are about the asymptotic matching that we discussed in the lecture. There are details of the steps and they are very nice! Lots of equations! And This is a very nice paper about splashing!!

This is a nice review paper of wetting and spreading. You can find some basics of contact line dynamics in section I A -C (p.740-746) and section III A-E (p. 764-774) that we will discuss in the lectures.

Have a look in 4C (and 4A) to refresh the knowledge on asymptotic approximations.
