We've started! The curriculum will essentially consist of Chs 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 11, 14 from the GCSR book, plus various Nils Notes & Nils Exercises. I will use also next Mon 25th for "general introduction" to the course (to be seen as a version of the book's Ch 1).

For Mon 25th, please print out "Nils Exercises" from the course site's 2004 page, and prepare Exercises 1, 2, 3.

Welcome to this course -- we start as announced Mon August 18. The intended regular scheme is lectures 9:15 to 11:00 and exercises 12:15 to 13:00, in B81. For the very first Monday, however, we omit this third hour (since I have a meeting, and since we have as yet no Exercises). For Mon 18th I will give a general introduction to the course and describe its ambitions and goals.

The course book is "Bayesian Data Analysis" (2nd Edition), by A. Gelman, J.B. Carlin, H.S. Stern and D.B. Rubin (Chapman & Hall/CRC, 2003). I shall also provide special extra notes and exercises during the course.
