Aulaen 21. april 14 - 17: War and the Protection of Cultural Heritage

Conservation Studies will host an event in the Aula on 21 April: War and the Protection of Cultural Heritage. We hope that you will join us.

Speakers include Professor Peter Stone (Newcastle) who will address the 1954 Hague Convention and the work of International Committee of the Blue Shield (ICBS). Professor Barbara Welzel (Dortmund) will consider human rights and cultural heritage; and our own Christopher Prescott will discuss looting and illicit trade in cultural artefacts.

Three lectures will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by Dr Paul Fox (Blue Shield, UK). We are expecting this to be lively.
