“Frisk Oslofjord” is a multi-faceted project, focused on monitoring and preserving marine ecosystems in Oslofjord. Data collection, management and analysis are of great significance in achieving the central goals of the project. As a partner in this project, the dScience center is creating “Insight Oslofjord”, an interactive platform for exploratory data analysis of the data produced in the “Frisk Oslofjord” project. In this presentation, after a brief introduction to the “Frisk Oslofjord” project, you will hear about the latest progress in the development of “Insight Oslofjord”. We will explain the back-end of the platform, along with the operational data pipeline. The front-end of the platform is an R Shiny web application, and at the end of the presentation, participants can try it on their personal devices. The application can be accessed using mobile devices but for a better experience, we recommend participants bring a laptop along.

About the seminar series

Once a month, dScience will invite you to join us for lunch, soft drinks and professional talks at the Science Library. In addition to these, we will serve lunch to PhD candidates in our lounge in Kristine Bonnevies hus every Thursday. Due to limited space (40 people), this will be first come, first served. See how to find us here (download).

Our lounge can also be booked by PhDs and Postdocs on a regular basis, whether it is for a meeting or just to hang out – we have fresh coffee all day long! Read more about the seminar series here.
