External Engagement Adviser - Birte Hansen

Birte is experienced in spearheading the development and implementation of strategic partnership initiatives across diverse organisations. These efforts involve cultivating collaboration between various stakeholders, including academia, private enterprises, public entities and startups. 

Her dedication to fostering diversity and inclusion has been evident in her successful advocacy for women in STEM through campaigns and events aimed at showcasing inspirational role models. Before joining dScience at University of Oslo, Birte worked as the innovation and industry coordinator for the Norwegian Artificial intelligence Research Consortium (NORA.ai). 

Birte has over ten years’ international experience from the US, England, Norway, Denmark, China and Singapore. Birte has a hons. BSc in International Development and Mandarin from the University of Portsmouth, double Msc in Public Management and Social Development from Copenhagen Business School and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and she has her PhD from Roskilde University and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, specialising in Digital Entrepreneurship in China.

Her passion lies in driving innovation, nurturing partnerships, and advancing diversity within the realms of technology and entrepreneurship. Birte is eager to connect with fellow professionals who share these aspirations and to explore new avenues for growth, collaboration and impact in the ever evolving Norwegian landscape of technological advancement. 

With a diverse and dynamic professional and academic journey spanning various continents and industries, Birte brings a unique blend of experiences and expertise to the table.
