Cancelled: Energy Lecture: Blockchain for Smart Energy Systems

Smart Energy Network and UiO:Energy invite you to an open lecture on blockchain and energy. With the development of the distributed microgrid architecture, renewable energy resources and widespread electric vehicles, smart grids are facing many unprecedented challenges. At this lecture Professor Yan Zhang will elaborate on blockchain technology and its applications for smart energy systems. Tor Krog from Siemens Smart Infrastructure will give a business perspective on the technology.

With the development of the distributed microgrid architecture, renewable energy resources and widespread electric vehicles, smart grids are facing many unprecedented challenges for energy management and operation. This talk will mainly focus on blockchain technology and application for smart energy systems. Key concepts  and principles related to blockchain will first be introduced, followed by  challenges and visions for the future generation smart grid.  Finally, the applications of blockchain technology in the energy domain will be presented.
