Why choose this module?

By working on your development project, you will delve into university pedagogical practices, themes, or questions about which you are particularly curious. Your work may arise from your experiences in teaching or learning, or from topics you heard about in electives and the foundation module.

In this module, you have the opportunity to

    • Reflect on the first draft of your teaching statement from the foundation module and plan the steps you will take to improve your teaching

    • Take time to collaborate with others on a project you design and lead
    • Read pedagogical research in your discipline and translate what you learn to your development project and ultimately to your teaching
    • Use the SoTL criteria to reflect on your project and your own development as a teacher
    • Make public what you learned from your development work
