Hi!

The presentation (summary) is up on the course website, as is the final version of the exam schedule (not much has changed, but for a few of you the exam has been moved approx. half an hour on Tuesday - let me know if this causes problems). Remember we have never done the oral exam digitally in the past, so we hope you have some patience in case we get technical issues! We will (of course) make sure you all get to do the exam :-) Also, remember that the setup in this course is designed to prepare you for the oral exam every week by discussing the curriculum with your peers. Enjoy your weekend, we look forward to seeing you next week!

Hi everyone, today is the last lecture before the exam!

Kathinka and I will start the Zoom meeting at 14:30 today, but the lecture (with info about the exam and grading) we have prepared will not start until 15:00. Thus, you can join the Zoom meeting a little earlier if you want to discuss something with the other students or us, or if you have questions regarding, i.e., your mindmap (or similar). If you still have not started on your mindmap, we strongly urge you to make a rough sketch before today's lecture, as some questions might pop up while doing so :)

Hi everyone! We will post the exam prep questions on the course website at 9:00 as usual. You discuss in groups sometime during the day, and then we will meet in Zoom at 15:00. Note that the questions are meant for reflection and as a preparation for the oral exam, and there are no "right" answers. So don't get too focused on searching for definitions in the papers, but use what you have learned in the course. The groups are:

Group 1: Viljar, Live, Karl-Otto and Radoslaw

Group 2: Chris, Anna, Nathalie and Bj?rn-Andreas

Group 3: Florian, Kristoffer and Vetle

Let us know if you can't make it!

  2. Next week you have no mandatory papers to read, but you will work in groups with questions and we will do a plenary Zoom meeting next week as well. The questions next w...

Hi everyone!

The exam dates this spring will be Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 May and the grade scale will be passed / not passed. The students who also take IN5000 (Qualitative Research Methods) this semester will be given priority to have the exam on Monday.

Hi!

We have just had a meeting regarding this week's teaching. We got some feedback from you last week that some of you missed the plenary discussion, so this week we will make an attempt at a plenary discussion via Zoom. We will post the questions on the course website on Wednesday morning as last week (9:00) so you will have the day to complete your in-group discussions.

At 15:00 we, Kathinka and Johanne, will organize two separate plenary discussions, with two groups in each: group 1 and 2 will form one plenary group, group 3 and 4 the other. We will send you an invite link to the Zoom meetings in our Teams chat, so please make sure you're there on time. We expect the discussion will last for about an hour.

Group 1: Florian, Anna, Live

Group 2: Viljar, Karl-Otto

Group 3: Chris, Bj?rn-Andreas, Nathalie

Group 4: Vetle, Kristoffer

Please note that you will not receive written feedback on this week's questions, so pl...

As we are all at home, you can choose for yourself when you want to carry this out on Wednesday. We will post the questions on the course website on Wednesday morning (09:00) and the deadline for handing in your notes are at 18:00. However, please make sure all group members can participate. We expect the discussion to last for at least one hour, but you are free to have longer discussions if you like.

Please let us know if you are unable to contact your group members.

Your task is as follows:

  1. Discuss the questions provided in the groups that are posted below. We urge you to try out video chat in Zoom or Teams (or something similar of your choice).
  2. Each group can decide on two questions about this week's subject that you want us (Kathinka & Johanne) to answer in the plenary chat in Teams (join by using the code 1gy0s1q).
  3. Hand in an ind...

Hi everyone!

Here's a little update from us regarding IN5500:
We postpone teaching for a week. Kathinka and I will then have time to find out how we can do this in the best possible way. This means that the deadline for reading notes on robots and AI will be moved to Tuesday 23 March at 23:59.

We hope to find a good solution for you where you can still discuss in groups (via chat or video). Exactly how this will work, we will find out this week. I'm going to create a team in Teams where we can communicate and invite you to join. Due to some technical issues, I haven't been able to do this yet, but you will receive an invitation email soon.

In the meantime, we have some other tasks you can do: 1) download Zoom; 2) think about what you want to write your group report about and possibly create groups; 3) read articles (both mandatory and additional, if you have extra time).

As of now, we know very little about the exam. If the...

To prevent infection, all teaching activities at UiO will cease from Friday 13 March. Kathinka and I will discuss how we can facilitate digital teaching and will let you know as soon as we do. Please stay updated on the course website.

We expect everyone (unless you are ill, of course) to read the mandatory articles, hand in reading notes in Devilry, and prepare for discussion. Contact me if you have any questions.
