Caspar Price Hafslund

Caspar is a student fellow with Circle U's Sustainable Change-Makers program and is currently undertaking a master of European Studies in Science, Technology and Society (ESST) at the TIK-center at UiO. He brings insights and expertise from several fields with his previous experience in innovative Dutch start-up companies and with his interdisciplinary background in Politics, Psychology, Law, and Economics from the University of Amsterdam. Caspar is motivated by the goals of increasing cross-border standards of education and stimulating innovation and engagement among students.

Christina Eide

Christina is 27 years old and takes a Master in Religion and Diversity where she examines how the Religious Left in the USA have affected the American democracy by looking at their activism related to abortion and gun regulations. Besides her studies, she has for a long time been a central figure in both student politics and student assemblies at UiO. Christina?s main motivation for the Student fellow job and the work they do with Open Campus, is the possibility to participate from the beginning on something that will make rest of Europe closer to even more students than today.

Elisar Sayegh

Elisar Sayegh is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Human Rights at the University of Oslo. She has a previous BSc in Development Studies from OsloMet University with an exchange semester at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS).

Elisar is a student assistant at the Circle U co-research project, where she is part of a team studying how students are included as co-researchers at Circle U universities. She draws on previous work experience with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and as a mentor for refugees, as well as working with innovative methods to include students in academia.

Elisar is motivated to find creative ways and opportunities to include students in research, and for Circle U to be sustainable for both employees and students.

Frida Juni Myklebostad Brevik

Frida is taking a bachelor’s degree in Culture and Communication, with specialization in media science, at the University of Oslo. Her job consists of coordinating the other Student Fellows, in addition to planning and arranging both social and professional meetings to increase knowledge about Circle U. to students and employees. Frida?s motivation for applying for the job was wanting to be a part of the growth of internationalization of knowledge, and wanting to create a safe and exciting atmosphere for everyone to come together in Circle U.

Helal Said

Helal studies international studies at UiO - an interdisciplinary study that combines political science, economics, history and law and uses these directions in the analysis of international relations. He has a specialization in political science. Before international studies, he took a year unit in English, also at UiO. Helal is a Student Fellow and work as a student coordinator in Circle U. His job is coordination of Student Fellows and responsibility for social and academic events. Helal believes in cooperation and believe that Circle U. is a fantastic project to make student life more cooperative by linking several European universities closer! We can learn from each other.

Inger Johanne Hellerud

Inger Johanne is a student in the Chemistry Master's program and the Practical Pedagogical Education (PPU) program at the University of Oslo (UiO). She previously completed a 5-year Master's degree in Molecular Biology at the University of Bergen (UiB). Inger Johanne works as a student assistant in the Circle.U project: Students as Co-researchers. This mainly involves writing an article about how students are included in research projects at UiO and Circle.U's partner universities, and how this is incorporated into the students' educational plans. She benefits from her own experience as a co-researcher and aims to promote and improve this form of student involvement.

Katey Givan

Katey Givan is a second-year medical student at the University of Oslo, with research interests in implementation science, global health, and participatory research. She previously has degrees in biomedical engineering and education from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a research fellow with the MEDRA project, focusing on how language is medicalized in democratic debates, particularly those surrounding abortion. She is excited to work on a project that connects her studies in medicine to important themes in the broader world.

Kristine Dragland

Kristine is currently studying towards a bachelor’s degree in Psychology at UiO, which included an exchange to the University of Queensland, Brisbane (AU). She has a previous Master of Fine Art from Oslo National Academy of Arts, and a Bachelor of Fine Art from Queensland College of Art, Brisbane (AU) and Utrecht Hogeschool voor der Kunsten, Utrecht (NL). Kristine is a student fellow with Circle U's Open Campus program, where she is part of a team that works on building and defining what Open Campus will be. She draws from her knowledge of psychology, as well as working creatively to bring forth new ideas and solve challenges. Kristine is motivated by making greater openness, possibilities and exchanges for staff and students in Circle U.

Maja Kristine Eriksen

Maja Kristine is a first-year student in the Bachelor's program for Renewable Energy and Nanotechnology at the University of Oslo. In her role as a Student Fellow at the Circle U. Open Campus project, she contributes by providing a student perspective and working on ways to make the Open Campus the best platform possible for increasing student mobility and inclusion. Maja is motivated for this position because of her passion for scientific research and how it can be connected with education. She also enjoys problem-solving and finds the creative aspects of the job really interesting.


Ellisiv Eskild

Ellisiv Eskild has a Bachelor of Economics from Freie Universit?t, Berlin, and is currently studying towards a master’s degree in Europe, Science, Society, and Technology at UiO. Ellisiv is a research consultant on the project MEDRA, where the focus is on how medical knowledge is used in the debate around abortion in three democratic countries: Argentina, USA, and Ireland. Abortion and abortion rights are subject matters that Ellisiv is strongly interested in, and she has previously written a bachelor's thesis on the relationship between abortion and economy.
