In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, we particularly want to receive ideas that can help solve the new challenges faced by society. The crisis is hitting the world hard and will affect us for a long time, says Jonny ?stensen. He is a physician and in charge of the innovation group in Inven2, which is responsible for the Idea Prize.

–We see that the Idea Prize makes researchers think about the practical benefits of their research, while others are stimulated to clarify and realize ideas they may have thought of for a long time. The ongoing pandemic means that many people are developing solutions to challenges shared by many, says Østensen.

Application deadline 20 April

The application deadline is 20 April. The three most innovative ideas will be selected by a professional jury consisting of the innovation team at Inven2. The prize money is a total of NOK 150,000. The winners will be announced online by the end of April.
