UiO opens more

More people can gather at events, and the start of studies next semester is now planned. - I appreciate that we can open further, and that the chances increase for a more normal start of studies, says Rector Svein St?len, University of Oslo.

The government and Oslo Municipality ease several of the corona measures. More people can gather at public events, so new and old students can look forward to a more open university. 

Start of studies

- We look forward to the fall and to meet students and colleagues and to life on campus. More than 1,000 buddies are ready to welcome new students, and we will adapt the activities to the reopening, says St?len. Read more about study start here

Working from home continues

UiO adheres to Oslo Municipality?s guidelines on working from home as far as practically possible. This is valid until 4 July. There is access to buildings with cards and codes this summer.

Pubs and cellars

There are separate rules for Oslo until 4 July. These state that student cellars and pubs can serve alcohol until 24.00. There are requirements for registration, serving of alcohol, reduced number of guests, seating for all guests and distance. From 5 July, national rules apply.
