- The start of studies is an exciting time for us and an important time for new students: Throughout the start of studies week students will get to know each other, the university, and life as a student. 850 buddies are ready to welcome and guide the new students. We welcome you to the start of studies, says rector Svein St?len.

On Monday afternoon, the welcome ceremony was held at the Universitetsplassen on Karl Johan. The programme for the week is packed and there will be events across campus. At Frederikkeplassen on Blindern campus, a large tent has been constructed, which will house many events throughout the week, like concerts, quizzes, and live shows with Radio Nova and the podcast Abels t?rn.

- At UiO you will meet world-renowned lecturers, have the opportunity to get close to and involved with ongoing research, and contribute to developing the subjects and the teaching.

At UiO we give you the knowledge you need to change the future, says St?len.
