Research Infrastructures

The purpose of the Research Infrastructures programme is to provide support to European research infrastructures.

Research Infrastructures are facilities, resources and services that are used to conduct research and foster innovation in their fields. It is crucial that Europe has open, accessible and sustainable research infrastructures in world class, in order to attract the best researchers from around the world and in building bridges between national and research communities and scientific disciplines.

The purpose of the sub-program is to improve the potential for research infrastructures in the EU to support scientific progress and innovation.

The program therefore provides support to open, consolidate and
develop European research infrastructures as well as for activities
in innovation and education, including empowerment of European Research Infrastructure Policy and internationally Cooperation. In addition, the construction of structures for Open Access to data, including the digital platform European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).
