Get started with the new self-service portal!

The self-service portal is UiO's system for time and absence registration. Here you can, among other things, register working hours and absences, submit travel invoices or apply for expense reimbursements.

Logging in

  • Go to the self-service portal (dfo.no).
  • Choose ?University of Oslo? in the drop down menu.
  • Log in with your Feide user name and password (the same as you use elsewhere at UiO. You can find your user name on your personal online profile).
  • You can also log in via the ID portal.

The login procedure is the same for first login and subsequent logins.

Problems with login?

Here are some tips:

  • The self-service portal can be opened in the Safari, Edge and Chrome browsers. Make sure that you’re using one of these.
  • Use this link to log into the self-service portal.
  • If you get an error message: Try loading the page again, or click one step back in your browser and try to log in again.
  • If you can’t log in from your own PC, try to log in by connecting to remote desktop. Scroll down the page and find the ?Self-service portal? among the remote apps.
  • If you log in via DF?’s website, you must first select Feide as your organisation in the drop-down menu. You will then be redirected to the Feide portal, where you select ?University of Oslo? and log in the same way as for other services that use Feide.
  • Check service messages from IT.
  • Check service messages from DF?.
  • If you still receive an error message when you attempt to log in, contact user support: lonn-hjelp@admin.uio.no
