Windows Autopilot – simple setup, installation and management of Windows computers

Windows Autopilot is a cloud-based IT solution for employees at UiO, that sets up the machine in Microsoft Intune.

What is Windows Autopilot?

This have been given extra emphasis;

  • Self-service solution for management of Windows computers
  • End user can install the computer herself as soon as it is delivered to UiO
  • Simple installation and updating of programs, services and operational system

Intune is initially only available for newly purchased devices that have been purchased specifically with Windows Autopilot. Those who use this solution can be confident that this is a future-oriented solution. USIT is working on converting the existing machine park to Intune devices, but it will take time.

Getting started

Intune is used on UiO owned Windows computers. If you are unsure whether your computer is an Intune computer setup with Autopilot contact local IT.
