Guidelines for the use of TikTok and Telegram on UiO-owned mobiles and other devices
These are the new guidelines for employees at UiO:

Faculty and staff who have mobile phones or other digital devices paid for by their UiO are asked to delete TikTok and Telegram from these. The apps must not be downloaded on UiO's devices.

Faculty and staff who use UiO's digital services, such as e-mail, on private devices are advised not to download or use TikTok and Telegram on these devices.

Where there are official needs to use these apps, devices that are separate from UiO's internal systems must be used.
Safety advice on installing and using apps
The IT department has also prepared a website with safety advice in connection with the installation and use of apps. The advice is general and applies to all apps you want to install. Remember to always consider carefully whether you actually need to install the app.
