By using this field, you may search for address information (e-mail, homepage, phone etc.) for staff, students and units at UiO. You cannot search for both simultaneously. Optionally, you may search the whole university, or you can limit your search to a specific unit. All units can be found in a list by selecting the link "Units at UiO". In this list, you may select a unit for your search.
A search for "Hans" will also match "Hansen". When searching for a person, it will be searched within "username", "name" and "phone number". For units, it will be searched within "name of the unit" and "phone number".
If you are unsure about how the name or the unit is spelled, you may use an asterisk ("*") as a wildcard instead of one or more characters. For example a search for "N*sen" will match "Nielsen" and "Nilsen". A leading or trailing asterisk is unnecessary, as the search service will always add these by default.
Maximum Number of Hits
Due to security reasons, the search service doesn't return more than 250 hits. You will get a warning message if your search matches too many people, and you should try to narrow your search in this case.
