Conditional offer of admission to master's degree programmes autumn 2024

6 August is the deadline for documenting the conditions for your masters’ offer of admission. They could be to document a successfully completed bachelor’s degree, a grade of a given level, to have documentation sent directly from your institution, or a combination of these.

Below you will find details on how to document these conditions and what you must do if you can't document the conditions within the deadline.

Education from the University of Oslo (UiO)

Grades from UiO: We have access to all UIO examination results. It is not necessary to upload a transcript of records.

Bachelor's degree diploma: It is generally not necessary to upload your UiO bachelor's diploma. If you have not received your diploma automatically, you must order it from the faculty where you took your bachelor specialization.

Education from Norwegian educational institutions where results are imported automatically (Please note that this does not apply for Norwegian Business School (BI), Oslo New University College (Bj?rknes) or Norwegian School of Leadership and Theology (HLT)

Results which have been imported automatically can be found in your ‘External results’ folder in S?knadsweb. If you cannot find all of your results or your bachelor's degree here, you must submit these documents yourself.

Grades: If your institution imports grades automatically, and you can see the results in UiO's S?knadsweb, then it's not necessary to upload your transcript of records.

Exchange studies: Results from exchange studies cannot be automatically imported and you must therefore document them with an official transcript of records issued by the host university.

Bachelor's degree diploma: UiO cannot import the result of a completed and awarded bachelor's degree before it has been has registered by the issuing educational institution.

Education from Norwegian educational institutions where results are not automatically imported

BI: Applicants with education from BI must send us a link that gives us access to BI's own verification portal Digital Certificate. The electronic certificates from BI are not valid unless you provide us with a verification link via Digital Certificate. You will have access to this portal via BI's student portal. Note that the Digital Certificate portal and Vitnem?lsportalen are not the same, and that a document from/a link to Vitnem?lsportalen is not sufficient to document that you have completed a bachelor's degree. Thus, you must provide us with a verification link to the Digital Certificate portal. You must add masteropptak@admin.uio.no as a recipient, and a 1 year time period for verification.

GradesYour grades must be documented with an official transcript of records. The transcript of records must be signed, stamped, and issued by your university. You must upload the transcript of records in S?knadsweb.

Exchange studies: Results from exchange studies must be documented with an official transcript of records issued by the host university.

Bachelor's degree diploma: You must upload all pages of your official diploma in S?knadsweb (please note that the degree certificate/diploma is not the same as a transcript of records). If you have an electronic degree certificate/diploma, you must upload this in S?knadsweb and have a valid web link sent to UiO for verification.

Education from other countries

For most countries it is necessary to upload both an official diploma/certificate and official transcript, in addition to your Diploma Supplement (please remember to scan and upload both the front and back sides of all your documents). Please note that if your institution doesn’t issue documents in English or a Scandinavian language, you must have your documents translated by an authorized translator into English or a Scandinavian language.

The manner in which you must document your education depends on where you studied. On the study programme web pages you will find information detailing how to document education from the country in which you studied. Remember to enter all of the countries in which you have studied if you have studied in more than one country.

When can you register for courses?

You can register for courses after having documented that you fulfil the conditions, however, no earlier than 13 August.

Are you unable to document your admission's condition(s) within the deadline?

If you are unable to document the given conditions within the deadline, you must contact us at masteropptak@admin.uio.no before 6 August.

If you contact us we are usually able to extend your deadline until 28 August, this is the final deadline.
