Once you have been nominated as an exchange student from UiO, you will still have to apply directly to the partner university in order to finalise your application. The partner university will review your application and issue an offer if you are accepted.

You will receive information from your contact person at UiO about how to apply to the partner university. Please be aware that application deadlines vary.
Transcript of records (ToR)
You are often asked to upload your most recent ToR as part of the application.
- Order an electronic ToR with your results from UiO in Studentweb.
- Order a ToR with results from other Norwegian higher education institutions from Vitnem?lsportalen.
Confirmation of language proficiency
If you need a confirmation of language proficiency, please ask the contact person for the agreement.
Letter of recommendation
Do you need a letter of recommendation? Bachelor level students can order this at the relevant faculty information centre.

Course selection
In the application, you might have to indicate which courses you are applying for. Please refer to the course overview presented on the host university web page. These will often show courses from the previous academic year only. Contact your faculty if you have questions about course selection.

In order to send nominations and applications to our partner institutions abroad, UiO has to share some information about you. Personal information will be treated according to GDPR regulations (in Norwegian).
