Andrew Reich shares with us why he chose the CIE programme.

I chose CIE because of the opportunity to learn in another country and in a style different from what I was used to. I was attracted to the prestige of CIE and the beauty of Norway.

What is your current position?

Assistant Director of College Counseling and Psychology Teacher at Episcopal School of Baton Rouge

What do you do in your present job?

I am responsible for guiding students through the university application process. I also teach one section of psychology to senior students.

What was the subject of your thesis?

I wrote my thesis on student-teacher relationships in academic enrichment programs for underserved students in the US.

In what terms has your CIE master helped you in getting where you are today?

First and foremost, my understanding of academic writing and research methods helps me every single day. I can effectively write and I can effectively parse through higher education data with high effectiveness. I am also much more adept at interacting with coworkers and students from a variety of backgrounds.

Where do you see yourself career wise in the future?

I hope to stay in K-12 education; ideally at an international school based upon either the British or the American Models.

Any additional comments you may have for future applicants to the CIE programme are welcome.

If you see yourself as self-motivated and culturally curious, there is not a better option than CIE.
