Sustainability and democracy are crucial civic values, but their relationship is not without challenges. This Honours Certificate is a unique opportunity to learn to how to use corpora and engage in collaborative analysis and debate with students from different countries.
The application deadline for master students from the University of Agder, Belgrade University and Universite Paris Cité has been extended until August 12, 2024.
This certificate aims to develop collaborative, research-informed educational resources that support students working in a range of European languages. It seeks to hone students’ skills in critical reflection and complexity thinking, with a particular focus on the negotiation of key concepts underpinning shared civic values in various and often competing discourses on democracy and sustainability.
The certificate incorporates blended-learning seminars and face-to-face student driven datathons.
- The first module will be taught in a series of eight blended-learning seminars held simultaneously at the five different participating institutions.
- The second module will involve a series of four blended-learning seminars, followed by a face to face datathon held at each partner university. This datathon will take place over three days in April 2025.
