Welcome to the Department of Geosciences at the University of Oslo!

We are excited to invite you to the inaugural information session for new master's students in our department. This is a fantastic opportunity not only to familiarize yourself with the program details but also to connect with your fellow students and learn more about the upcoming buddy week activities.

Starting around 13.30, our dedicated buddies will lead you through a variety of engaging social events designed to ease your transition into the university community (full details at the buddy week event).

Unable to attend the information session?

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. If you're unable to join us, please notify the department in advance by emailing studieinfo@geo.uio.no.
To maintain your enrollment in the master's program, you must inform us before the meeting takes place. Failure to communicate your absence will result in the revocation of your admission without further notice.

For non-attendees who have notified us of their absence, all pertinent information from the meeting will be available on the department's webpage shortly after the event. It is imperative that you review this material diligently.

Important notice regarding confirmation of arrival

For those who cannot make it to the information session, you must present yourself at the student administration office (room 111) no later than Friday, 6 September 2024, to officially confirm your arrival in the program. Please note that failure to comply with this requirement will lead to the cancellation of your master’s enrollment. Do not forget to bring an official photo ID for verification purposes.
