- Why do you study social anthropology?

I believe that social anthropology provides distinctive and enriching tools, which are necessary to understand and transform reality, says Giménez.

- Why did you apply for this particular MA programme?

I applied for this master's course because I am especially interested in some research lines at the Department of Social Anthropology that aim to connect contemporary local and global processes. I expect this approach to be part of the Global Political Economy courses. My intention is to learn on these perspectives and be able to adopt them in my own research and teaching back in Argentina, says Giménez.

- What is the best thing about being an international student at the University of Oslo?

As a student at University of Oslo you get access to a wide variety of resources such as a good library, great spaces for the master's students with a very good work environment, and contact with excellent professionals and research centers. Also, it is possible to become part of one of the many student associations that exist at the university, both for academic or social purposes, says Giménez.
