Ranking points for bachelor's courses

For courses where you apply for a place on the course, but do not receive an answer to your application straight away in Studentweb, we can give you ranking points. The points will ensure that programme students can be enrolled in the courses they require in their study programme.

Bachelor's courses at TF, JUS, HF, SV and UV

You will receive one of the ranking score types if the course is in the education plan. You will see your ranking score in Studentweb after your application for admission to a course has been processed, if the faculty has decided to show it.

  • 4000 points: The course is compulsory and you must take it during a specific semester.

  • 1000 points: The course is compulsory, but there is flexibility regarding when you have to take it.
  • 500 points: The course is part of a course group you are affiliated with, and the course is on the timetable in the same semester as you apply for a place on the course.
  • 200 points: The course is chosen among the elective courses in the study programme.
  • In addition, you will receive up to 180 ranking points for the credits you have completed (one ranking point for every quarter of a credit). For external courses that are included in the calculation for admission to the study programme, you can receive up to 30 ranking points for the external courses.
  • If necessary, lots will be drawn in case of equal scores.
