Academic interests

The purpose of my PhD-project is to understand the neural basis of temporal prediction in the human brain. With this aim, I study whether patients with prefrontal lesions are impaired in generating temporal predictions, violations of prediction and prediction updates compared to healthy control participants. I use the scalp EEG-method in combination with auditory local-global oddball paradigms.

The ability to predict is fundamental and unique feature of the brain. It is important for every aspect of human existence, from the core brain processes supporting perception, attention, language, and body movement, to the complex sociocultural expressions of dance, music and human social interaction.
