Regarding final oral exam:

There will be two available exam formats. Format A will be the DEFAULT format. If you prefer format B, send us an email by 16:00 on 19 May (next Wednesday). If we haven't heard from you then, we will operate under the assumption that you have chosen the default format A.

Here are the two formats:

Format A: The student arrives at the scheduled exam time and is given the title of one film. She or he has 5 minutes to collect thoughts on the film there in the room then is asked to start discussing the film. This will open a dialog with the examiner regarding the film. Questions regarding at least one other film and/or reading will be posed after about 10 minutes. The point here is that the student has the opportunity to discuss more than just one film, and thus demonstrate a breadth of knowledge.

Format B: The student is given a film title 30 minutes before the scheduled exam, and placed in a separate room with one of us there t...

Note: we've had to switch around the lectures on Upperdog and The Bothersome Man again. This is due to the volcano on Iceland (see the mail we've sent you).

We have now placed "questions we might have asked you in an exam situation" with regards to your group presentations in the folder entitled "Group Presentations" in Fronter.

Thank you for a great session yesterday! We are ready for next week, and the summaries are in place in Fronter. The order of presentations will be:

1. Antichrist

2. Kissed by Winter

3. Raw Youth

If you don't mind, we would like to make your powerpoints from yesterday available to the rest of the class. They contained so much interesting information and analysis. I have made a new folder in Fronter in which you can place them (it is, of course, voluntary).

Also: remember that Troubled Water is showing at Cinemateket Friday March 26 at 4:30 p.m. - with English subtitles.

All the plot summaries for Wednesday's presentations are available in Fronter in a NEW folder also entitled "Plot summaries" (it turned out other students could not gain access to the folder in which the groups downloaded their summaries - a little technical issue).

The order of presentations on Wednesday is:

1. The Idiots

2. You, the Living

3. Hawaii. Oslo

4. An Enemy of the People

We look forward to them!
