This course in Insurance Law (MARLINSUR) corresponds with Forsikringsrett (VALFORS), the optional subject taught in Norwegian. Further particulars on teaching, exams, training goals and literature for this course in Insurance Law you will find under VALFORS – Forsikringsrett (discontinued).

The course gives an introduction to the main issues of the provisions of the Insurance Contracts Act. The course will cover the main rules of the public control with the insurance activities, and also go further into the subject of marine insurance. This course is currently only available to students who master a Scandinavian language.

Learning outcome

To give an overview of the Insurance Contracts Act and public control with the insurance activities. To give in depth knowledge of marine insurance.

To be allowed to take the exam in MARLINSUR - Insurance Law, you must be accepted at the Maritime Law (master's 1 1/2-years).
