Petroleum Law deals with the public regulation of Norwegian offshore petroleum activities. It addresses the relationship between the authorities and the holders of a license for petroleum production (such as the license system, safety regulation and petroleum taxation), the relationship between players in the gas market (access to gas infra-structure), relevant EC legislation related to competition law), and the relationship between the licensees and third parties (e.g. liability for pollution damage).

To gain knowledge of the various regulations in the petroleum and energy sector.

To be allowed to take the exam in MARLPETRO - Petroleum Law, you must be accepted at the Maritime Law (master's 1 1/2-years).
