Are you wondering how nuclear reactors work? Are you interested in green energy, and would like to learn what the deal with nuclear energy is? Have you seen the HBO series "Chernobyl", and want to know more? Welcome to FYS4580!

The first lecture is on Mon. Aug 23rd in "Tidrommet" (V172). I will give an introduction to the course, present an overview of what you will learn, and briefly talk about the computational code OpenMC that you will use to calculate criticality. We will also repeat some important nuclear physics topics, before moving on the "good stuff". Looking forward to getting started!
