It was great seeing you all in FYS4580 today!

Since some of you do not have the intro course in nuclear physics, I made a quick reading list for the nuclear physics concepts you need to know:

Reading list nuclear physics for FYS4580

We will use these concepts already in the lecture next Monday, so please read up on it and ask me questions if you have any!

Are you wondering how nuclear reactors work? Are you interested in green energy, and would like to learn what the deal with nuclear energy is? Welcome to FYS4580 - Introduction to reactor physics!

The first lecture is on Mon. Aug 21st at 10:15 in ?358. I will give an introduction to the course, present an overview of what you will learn, and briefly talk about the computational code OpenMC that you will use to calculate criticality. We will also repeat some important nuclear physics topics, before moving on the "good stuff". Looking forward to getting started!

Edit! It should be ?358! (not V)
