Semester page for MENA9010 - Spring 2021

We started lectures digitally very well with good attendance! Students show strong interest to the subject. Informal discussions after lectures followed. Due to the corona virus restrictions, lectures will continue digitally this and at least next week, before further notice. However, we really look forward to continue our work in regular format, which offers much bigger possibilities for active student learning, when restrictions are lifted.

Welcome to Nanophysics! We are living in the age of Nanotechnology. This intensive course is a nice opportunity to find out what physics is behind the nanotechnology revolution. It suits well physicists, materials scientists and chemists. It does not require exceptionally good mathematical skills or deep knowledge of Condensed Matter and Statistical Physics, but it does require enthusiasm and desire to learn. After the course, you will be able to answer questions given in the links on this webpage. The course content and pdf files of lectures are also there. I am looking forward for starting interesting and rewarding journey into Nanophysics together with you.

First lecture is on Monday, January 11 at 9:15. All  lectures, problems solving and presentations will take place in room V414 (Physics West).
