Monday December 2 it will be possible to come to my office (229) between 10 am and 4pm if you have some questions before exam. If you can come in smaller groups rather than as individuals it would be more efficient.

In the set of exercises, the exams from 2009, 2010 and 2011 are included. The solutions to these three exams are now posted in the GEO4260 course folder (log in via UniGEO webpage).

After having registered as a user of GeoCLASS goto webpage www.unigeo.no and log in (using same username and password). Then click on the GeoCLASS button at the top and then choose forum on the list to the left. Look for a GEO4260 course folder where you will find course plan, exercise set and a rock-physics document.

Elastic waves: all chapters in textbook except p.38-47, Seismic attributes: all chapters in textbook, Reservoir monitoring: all chapters in textbook, Rock physics: chapter 1-6 (+ compendium Rock_physics_rev1.pdf), Marine CSEM: all chapters in text book. The course assumes basic knowledge about seismic acquisition and processing (the textbook includes also such material if you need to refresh it).

Textbook to be used is available at Akademika. The title of the book is Petroleum geophysics (Volume 2) and it is published by UniGEO. The textbook is to be used in combination with the e-learning system GeoCLASS. At the first lecture you will be given information about how to use GeoCLASS. You will also be given a licence code in order to be able to access the system.
