Course content

Themes will cover the origin of life, the earliest fossils and their importance in the evolution of life leading to the origin of ourselves.

Learning outcome

The course will provide the basic knowledge necessary for an independent M.Sc.study in paleontology/palaeobiology

Teaching

Lectures, colloquia and working groups - totally 6 hours per week. Obligatory assignments which must be approved.

Examination

Final written examination (3 hours) (100 %). Letter grade (A-F)

This course does not offer new examination in the beginning of the subsequent term for candidates who withdraw during an ordinary examination or fail an ordinary examination.
