Hi all and thank you for the very interesting presentations of your projects.

To help you prepare for the final exam, I've made a page that provides an overview of all topics, lecture recordings, and readings. You can find it in the left-hand menu under "Exam preparation" or here.

Good luck with preparing for the exam!

Hi all!

Remember the group presentations on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday next week. The presentation is not part of the graded evaluation of the project work, but is intended to help you clarify your understanding of the project case and your plan forward. Information about the expected content of the presentation is available here. You will present on the day and timeslot of the seminar group you are assigned to as shown in the group overview. Make sure to be ready to present in the zoom-room within the given time and day. It is also useful to listen to the others present as you may have similar questions.

See you next week!

Magnus

If you find DHIS2 and the field of Information Systems and platforms interesting, writing a master thesis for the IS group may be something for you. On Tuesday 6th of October at 09.15 in "Store Aud", Kristen Nygaard's Hus (and on Zoom) we will present available master projects in our research group. You can also see a list of available projects here

Hope to see you all there!

The project cases are now available on the Project page in the right-hand menu. Please read all the practical information and case background carefully, and select one of the two cases for your group to work with. The first step is to try to define concretely what you should build given the background and more specific information and requirements provided. In the lecture on Monday, there will be a Q/A session regarding the cases.

As we know many of you are struggling a bit with mandatory assignment 2, we've decided to extend the deadline until Friday at 23:59.

Rember that you can get help on Mattermost and/or the Seminar groups.

Good luck!

Hi all,

The first theoretical lecture is available in the course schedule. Also, I had a short live session on Zoom today to give some practical information about the coming weeks and the group project. Both sessions are available in the course schedule and here:

Some key information/updates about the course:

- We decided to extend the limit on the number of students in the course - so all 150 applicants are now part of the course. For the students abroad that cannot attend the exam in Oslo in November, we're investigating the possibility of an alternative. More info on this will follow.

- Lecture slides and Screencast from the first lecture can be found in the Course Schedule

- As you see in the Schedule, during the first weeks of the course you are expected to go through an...

Hi!

Monday next week, I'll give an introduction to the topic and practicalities of the course. The lecture will be held "live" on Zoom, from 10:15 and will be recorded and published on the course page. This means that if you unmute your microphone or camera you will be made part of the recording. To avoid being part of the recording, please use the chat in Zoom to ask questions, or ask them in the Q/A session in the end of the lecture, which is not recorded.

You can find the Zoom-room for the lecture here

See you on Monday!

The first lecture will be held on Monday 17.08 on Zoom. A link to the Zoom-room will be posted on this course page later this week.

This course provides a practical and theoretical introduction to the increasingly relevant phenomenon of digital platforms. The course is separated into two parts: 1) A practical part where the students are provided with an introduction to the development of web-based applications for the global health platform DHIS2. Through individual assignments and a group project, the students will develop an application with the JavaScript framework React and based on the real needs of the end-users of the DHIS2 software. In the practical part, the students get relevant experience with developing platform applications using modern web technologies. 2) The second, theoretical part is covered through lectures and readings related to the topic of...
