The course this semester (2013) will be similar to the 2011 version. There will be some smaller changes and adjustments when it comes to the curriculum and the papers we will read. Hence, we will not publish the full curriculum yet.
We will, however, start with the book "Foundations of Statistical Natural Language Processing" by Manning and Schütze (see 2011 page for details). We will consider chapters 1 & 3 background knowledge, and start to work on chapter 4 and chapter 2, section 2.1.
We will also follow the good tradition from INF1820 and INF2820 and use NLTK and Python. They who are not familiar with these tools should start to work through the NLTK book chapter 1 and chapter 2, section 2.1.
