INF4270 – Information systems development in organizations

Course content

Organizations, strategies, information systems and work, implementation in organizations, organizational change.

Learning outcome

This subject aims at providing understanding for analyzing real world information systems development processes in organizations. The course gives a foundation for thesis work in information systems.

Overlapping courses

6 credits INF-ISO-N and 8 credits IN364.

Teaching

2 hours of lectures and 2 hours of tuition each week.

Examination

The exam consists of an individual essay and a possible oral or written exam. General information about the examination.

No examination support material is allowed.

Grading scale

Grades are awarded on a pass/fail scale. Read more about the grading system.

Resit an examination

This subject does not offer new examination in the beginning of the subsequent term for candidates who withdraw during an ordinary examination or fail an ordinary examination. Withdrawal from an examination

It is possible to take the exam up to 3 times. If you withdraw from the exam after the deadline or during the exam, this will be counted as an examination attempt.

The subject is regarded equal to IN364, INF5250 and INF3270 when practicing exam regulations.

It is strongly recommended to attend the first lecture since it will be given important information.
