Course content
The course provides a background for managing the development of IT capacity in organisations, for user training and support, and for thesis research in the area.
Learning outcome
The course provides skills in teaching and supervision of computer use, and knowledge for planning and evaluating IT training and support. This builds on the following topics, which will be included in the course:
- development of competence in organizations,
- the constituents of user competence,
- skills and understanding of IT and its use,
- metacognitive skills,
- learning of office tools and information systems
- standards for user competence,
- learnability of software,
- material for supporting learning, also IT based
Admission

Teaching
Lectures, reading, oral and written assignments, supervision. One mandatory assignment. Rules for mandatory assignments.
Examination
Written group report, 40% and oral exam, 60%. The mnadtory assignment must be approved prior the exam. General information about the examination.
Grading scale
Grades are awarded on a scale from A to F, where A is the best grade and F is a fail. Read more about the grading system.
The External auditor is Edgar Bostr?m.
Resit an examination
This subject does not offer new examination in the beginning of the subsequent term for candidates who withdraw during an ordinary examination or fail an ordinary examination. Withdrawal from an examination
It is possible to take the exam up to 3 times. If you withdraw from the exam after the deadline or during the exam, this will be counted as an examination attempt.
Other
It is strongly recommended to attend the first lecture since it will be given important information.
