If some of the course participants are in possession of one or more unidentified substances in sufficient amount(s) (10 mg or more for MW ~1000) please bring it/them with you to the course. If the substance(es) has/have sufficient complexity (one or more aliphatic parts?, aromatic parts?, olefinic part?, Cl, Br, N, P or S atoms included?, isomerism of any kind?) it/they might be used in the course and if you are lucky and clever you might determine the structure(s) as an extra bonus.
