Admission

PhD candidates from the University of Oslo should apply for classes and register for examinations through Studentweb.

If a course has limited intake capacity, priority will be given to PhD candidates who follow an individual education plan where this particular course is included. Some national researchers’ schools may have specific rules for ranking applicants for courses with limited intake capacity.

PhD candidates who have been admitted to another higher education institution must apply for a position as a visiting student within a given deadline.

You apply for the course by sending an e-mail to Bernd Thiede (bernd.thiede@biotek.uio.no), who is responsible for the course. Please include your full name, birth date, affiliation and information about whether or not you are part of the BioStruct research school. If there are more applicants than places, BioStruct members will have priority to 80% of the places.

If you are not a PhD candidate at The Faculty of Science and Mathematics at The University of Oslo, you must apply for a position as a visiting student within a given deadline.
