Syllabus/achievement requirements

The syllabus is Tom Lindstr?m: Mathematical Analysis, 2014 (only available online). The entire text is available here. For those who have already downloaded chapters 1 to 3, I have made a separate file of just Chapter 4 here and of Chapters 5 and 6 here.

The compendium has been the real syllabus the last three years, and we are using an updated version this year. The greatest change from previous years is that we shall drop the Fourier analysis and instead try to consolidate some of the other themes.

The main changes from last years version are:

Section 2.7 is new.

Section 4.7 is new, but the material here has to a large extent been covered by exercises.

Section 6.5 is new, but the material is taken from old sections 6.4 and 7.2 (the last section is now longer in the curriculum).

Section 2.6 is rewritten with a different (and simpler!) proof of the main theorem.

I have expanded sections 1.5, 2.1, 3.5, and 3.7 slightly to make the arguments easier to follow. Chapter 6 is the most thoroughly revised part of the text, and the presentation is much improved (I hope!)
